Pallet Racking Removal — Dismantled, Loaded and Paid For
Most racking removal quotes are an invoice. Ours is usually a payment. If your racking still has resale value we buy it, remove it and pay you for it — and the removal itself costs you nothing. If it is genuinely scrap we will tell you that plainly, and price the job accordingly rather than dressing it up.
What we buy

What we don't buy
- ✕ Racking with no identifiable manufacturer and heavy structural damage throughout — it cannot legally be resold for storage use
- ✕ Very small quantities on their own where the transport cost exceeds the material value, unless we can combine it with a nearby job
- ✕ Systems we cannot access safely: no vehicle access, live production underneath, or asbestos present and unmanaged
We would rather tell you no on the phone than waste your week. If it isn't for us, we will usually point you at what is.

How the job runs
1. Photos or a site visit
Three photos are usually enough for an indicative range: one full run, one close-up of the beam end connector, one of the footplate. For larger sites we survey in person.
2. Firm written offer
You get a written offer, not a verbal number. It states what we are buying, what we are removing and when.
3. RAMS and scheduling
We issue RAMS and insurance details, agree access, permits and working hours with your site contact.
4. Dismantle and load
Crews strip the system top-down, bundle and band the components and load them. Typical output is a few hundred bays per crew-week depending on height and access.
5. Payment and handover
Payment on collection by BACS or cash, waste transfer notes where applicable, and a swept floor.
Safety, compliance and paperwork
- Dismantling is carried out by crews trained under the SEIRS (Storage Equipment Installers Registration Scheme) framework.
- A risk assessment and method statement (RAMS) is produced for the site before work starts, and shared with your responsible person.
- We work to PUWER and Work at Height requirements, using MEWPs or towers rather than climbing racking.
- Any genuinely scrap material leaves under a waste transfer note so your duty of care under the Environmental Protection Act is documented.
- The site is swept and handed back clear — no beams left in a corner for your landlord to find.

Pallet Racking Removal FAQs
How much does pallet racking removal cost?
In most cases nothing — the value of the racking covers the removal and you receive a payment. Where the racking is scrap or access is very difficult, there can be a net cost, and we will tell you before you commit.
How long does a removal take?
A small unit of 50–100 bays is usually a single day. Several hundred bays with high-bay frames typically runs into a week or more. We give you a realistic programme with the offer, not an optimistic one.
Can you work nights or weekends?
Yes, where the site requires it. Out-of-hours working affects the numbers but keeps your operation running.
Do you remove the floor fixings and make good?
We remove bolts and leave the floor safe. Full floor repair or resin patching can be quoted separately.
